Chicken, chicken and more chicken!

Jim and Betty are sick of eating chicken ... the only chicken they want to see is one running around a paddock!! But there was a change to the menu - Betty ate guinea pig - and it tasted like chicken!! Jim ate alpaca and loved it ... he made references towards Michelle & Richard's neighbour who has an alpaca and said to make sure it was well locked up when he gets back!!

Jim had his second shower today, and has had no oxygen for 2 days now.

It looks like they will be heading for Lima in the next few days and staying there for an as yet undetermined period of time until they are well enough to undertake long haul travel, when they will then head back to New Zealand. On the flight to Lima Jim will be allocated 3 seats and a medical person will travel with them.

How fantastic that you will both be getting a change of scenery soon! And hopefully the opportunity to extend your menu options :) Glad to hear that you are both improving daily. Love and hugs, Lisa (& Mat, Emma, Ethan and baby Samuel :)

Sorry to hear about Betty & Jim. We have just had a few days at our Son Todds,he lives in the hills above Wairoa, no cell coverage and very very slow computer coverage. We left on the 14th to go to Todds so imagine our surprise when we got home and found this on our computer. Hope they are on the mend, please give them our love and wish them a safe trip back home.
All our Love Mike and Pauline Demarco

  6. Dear Betty and Jim
So sad you have had to endure this unexpected injury, but glad that life is still granted to you and that you are being supported with good medical care and friendliness and concern. All your good years of being there to ease the way of others is coming back to you, and so it should.
Gaeleen alerted me re what has happened and I shall pass this on to Marion. I am sure her prayers will power across the continents to you!
Know your friends love you and will be thinking of you.
Hugs (figuratively speaking - I wouldn't dare give even a little squeeze!).
    Carole (and Barry) Stewart

    Dear Jim & Betty
My second and now hasty effort to get on to this method of contacting you.
This is not nearly as wordy as the one I think got lost, but suffice to say that I think of you both, and will tell Marion whose prayers I am sure will be added to others for your good repair. Lots of love from Carole (Stewart).
